INGREDIENTS

Great grooming products begin with great ingredients. We pride ourselves on using only the best products available to produce top-quality beard oils, beard balms, & conditioning hair oils.

"CONQUERING, HOLDING, DARING,

VENTURING AS WE GO THE UNKNOWN WAYS..."

Organic Hemp Seed Oil

One of our favorite carrier oil, cold pressed organic Hemp Seed Oil is chock full of essential fatty acids (especially Omega 3’s and 6’s), contains complete proteins, is high in vitamins A, C, and E, and closely matches our own skin lipids. What this means is that the easily absorbed Hemp Seed Oil moisturizes and nourishes beard hair, while the added proteins help strengthen hair. The skin beneath the beard also gains from the oil as it helps sooth and alleviate dry skin, and protect the skin’s natural moisture barrier.

Fractionated Coconut Oil

Often when people complain about beards it is because they are dry and scratchy, we use Coconut Oil to fight that dryness. The Coconut Oils softens and moisturizes beard hair, and provides a protective barrier on the skin. What makes it Fractionated? Normally coconut oil is solid at room temperature, but when steam distilled the long chain triglycerides are removed, the result is a liquid oil with the same emollient and moisturizing capabilities as it’s solid, unprocessed version.

Abyssinian Oil

This is an oil you’ve probably never heard of before. Abyssinian Oil is fairly new on the scene, but it is a moisturizing powerhouse with a high erucic acid percentage. Rapidly absorbed by the hair, Abyssinian Oil increases beard luster, and strengthens and conditions hair while increasing its manageability by lubricating and detangling hair follicles.

Rice Bran Oil

We chose this light weight oil for it’s ability to penetrate into follicle roots to strengthen them while moisturizing dry, flaky, and sensitive skin. This keeps your skin healthy while reducing or eliminating beard-druff. As an added benefit, Rice Bran Oil contains gamma-oryzanol and tocotrienols, powerful antioxidants, which help protect hair and skin from UV light.

Organic Castor Oil

Castor Oil is one of our sealing oils, in that it isn’t readily absorbed by hair or skin. This is good as Castor Oil will lock in moisture (much of it provided by the preceding carrier oils) helping make a beard look fuller with a healthy sheen, reduces split ends, and will protect hair and skin from harsh environmental conditions.

Organic Golden Jojoba Oil

Our other sealing oil, or rather a sealing liquid wax, that is similar to sebum (oil your skin produces). The Golden Jojoba Oil is rich in vitamins E and B, provides a barrier on the skin to retain the benefits of our other moisturizing and condition oils, and is considered anti-inflammatory. It also provides a smooth, satiny feel to your beard hair.

Mango Seed Butter

Pressed from the seed pod of mango fruit, Mango Butter is a rich natural fat, perfect for use in our balms. Packed full of oleic and stearic acid, Mango Seed Butter helps keep hair soft and shiny.  Providing fantastic conditioning power, Mango Seed Butter reduces breakage and hair loss, while minimizing frizz and boosting volume.

Lanolin

Extracted from the wool coats of sheep, Lanolin is a waxy substance made of esters of fatty acids, cholesterol, and alcohols. Lanolin helps restore  and prevent moisture loss in hair. It's best attribute is its ability to emulsify with water present in a damp beard, this helps keep the moisture in the hair without forcing out the beneficial oils included in our beard balms.

Bentonite Clay

Bentonite Clay is dry powder derived from volcanic ash. Despite being a powder, Bentonite Clay provides a moisturizing boost effect for hair. In addition, the clay helps trap excess dirt and pollution, protecting hair from environmental damage. And as an added bonus, Bentonite Clay helps provide increased shine for extra luster.

Organic Beeswax

We use triple filtered, Grade-A organic Beeswax as our main binder in our beard balms, providing a natural source for the light hold to keep beards in check. Plus, the higher melt temperature of beeswax helps lock in the butters and oils in our balms, helping protect your hair and skin from environmental damages.
